I have worked in care for about 19 years now I’ve always wanted to work in care after I had my children whom are all grown up now.
The reason I wanted to work in care was due to having a disabled son that was born prematurely
I realised how much care and compassion you needed for this job after looking after my son and watching nurses looking after him I realised this was the job for me.
I started off as a carer then I worked my way up to care supervisor then worked up to care coordinator I love being in care and I will always be in care due to the difference you make on your daily visits seeing service users smile and thankful for your care.
Now my son has care staff visiting him its nice to know you are appreciated as I appreciate all care staff that care for my son and it’s a rewarding job.
