I am passionate about Social Care and providing high quality domiciliary care to people who live in our communities, who wish to remain living independently in their own home where they feel safe and secure in their own familiar surroundings.
I have worked in Social Care for the past eleven years, I started my career at Ana nursing and care as a community care worker, I then moved onto work at Apex health and social care where I progressed to Senior Care Worker. The role of Senior Care Worker was some of the best years of my life, being out in the community making sure that our service users were safe and well and that our care workers were providing the person-centred high quality of care that they deserved and with dignity and respect. This role really made me passionate and driven to provide high quality Social Care. We were then bought out by CRG Homecare, I continued to work for CRG Homecare for four years as a care coordinator for their Staffordshire Branch, I then went on to become their deputy manager where I covered other branches such as Wolverhampton. I have been involved in several CQC inspections all with GOOD ratings, I made many friends there but it was time to move on.
In December 2019 I moved over to Home Care Assist as the coordinator, the branch at this point was delivering just 100 hours of care. This is predominantly a palliative care provider for Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire. Since then, we are now running at nearly 1000 hours. In October 2020, the opportunity came to become the registered manager, and I decided it was time to move further in my career and take this opportunity and look forward to the future. Our service users who are palliative don’t get treated any differently than any other service user. We value equality and treat all our service users with compassion and we are committed to delivering consistent quality care.
