Jordan Tabbinor – Care Coordinator

Personal profile

As a child I knew that heath and social care was a career path I was going to pursue due to my caring nature, ive always had a passion for health and social care, I studied my NVQ level 3 in college 8 years ago – then motherhood hit me unexpectedly with twin boys!

I worked in a nursing home as a care assistant after maternity leave and from there on developed care skills and completed a lot of training to better myself within my care role. I remained at this nursing home for 5 years which I completed medication and lots of other training so I could develop myself into a senior role. When I got offered a promotion as a senior care assistant I was delighted and wanted to better myself even more, it gave me the drive to achieve more complex skills within the care industry. This role made me passionate about delivering high quality care consistently and ensuring delegation of staff was done to a good standard.
After 2 years of been a senior carer, I went into domiciliary care, worked for a company called helping hands in sep 2019 and this was a complete turning point for me, supporting clients with there day to day tasks and activities all while remaining independent in their own homes and ensuring they receive the best care they well and truly deserve.
I love a person-centred approach when it comes to dealing with our clients, striving to achieve the best care. I have worked alongside a lot of different needs whether it was dementia, palliative or end of life care. Always ensuring they are treated with respect and dignity at all times.
My time came to an end in march 2023 with helping hands as I knew my skills and attributes could get me in the right direction of broadening my career choices that I wished to achieve in life.
I applied for the care coordinator role on Indeed for Home care assist, read some testimonials which made me want to apply for this company in the first place. Zoe the manager rang me the same day and offered for me to come in for an interview, when I attended my interview with zoe and megan ive never felt more at ease during the recruitment process. Later that day Zoe emailed me offering me the care coordinator role, I was delighted and without a doubt accepted the job offer.
Ive never done an office based role, but with the support of zoe and megan, I will achieve the skills to the best of my ability and I will strive to ensure the business runs effectively. Since then, I have started my training with Megan, learning how the business works, what is expected of me, following all policies/protocols in place.
I am looking forward to my journey here at Home Care Assist!
