I have worked in social care since 2003, where I become a carer for a domiciliary care provider in Lichfield, I then got recommended to move to a new provider where a friend was working and I wanted to better myself and my career this was a nursing agency where I went to and my role as a carer became more fulfilled doing more complex care looking after adults and children with complex needs.
I started this role in 2007 as a care assistant which I loved and learnt so much from the brilliant nursing team, in 2010 a vacancy came up in the office as a care coordinator at the time I had 2 young children and I knew the working hours in the office would suit me better however I knew I would miss the care side of things.
I settled in well as a care coordinator and grew as a person and had more understanding of all office staff roles, in 2015 our branch manager at the time went onto Maternity leave and I was asked to become a branch manager for 12 months this however then became my full time position until Dec 2021.

I have been involved in a fair few CQC inspections over the years have achieved GOOD in all 5 domains I made many friends at my last company I worked alongside some fantastic office staff and nurses delivering around 3500 hours per week in complex care, I have now moved to Home Care Assist in the new Stafford Branch and hope to build this branch up to be successful.

I also like to ensure that all my service users all get the care that they deserve and that our carers provide the care in a person-centred way and always with dignity and respect and put there loved ones mind at rest that they family members are being well cared for like they were my own family.
I like to think that the carers always feel welcome when they come in to the office whether its to collect PPE or just popping in for a cuppa when they have a spare half an hour as we could not run these services without them, I also like to make sure our service users and carers know that I’m always here for them no matter how big or small there concern or worry is.
